nbu’s screw-up moment event inspires youth in asokore manpong

Over 50 youth within Asokore Mampong Municipality and beyond have happily participated in the second edition of the No Business As Usual “Screw-Up Moment”, an event run by the No Business As Usual (NBU) Hub. The No Business As Usual Project is funded by the European Union in collaboration with the Asokore Mampong Municipal Assembly and implemented by the SOS Ghana.

This event is one of the many other events run by NBU Hub to propel the development of youth in the municipality and beyond.  The event recorded a large number of attendees in its second edition thought the first edition had a relatively larger number.

Patterned after the first edition, youth who partook in the second edition of Screw-Up Moment event were empowered with knowledge on the struggles of successful entrepreneurs, the entrepreneurship hassle and ways to overcome failure so that they will be able realize their entrepreneurial goals.

Renowned entrepreneurs present at the event as included Chief Executive Officer for Samba Ventures and Seed of Hope, Mr. Shamuna Abdul, CEO for Expanse Creations Mr. Boakye Yiadom and Odikro of EMB Ahenfi, Naomi Boakyewaa Kokuroamong took participants through talks on their entrepreneurship journey as in how they started, their failures and the steps they took before attaining success. The event was open to all classes of youth.

 

Speaking on the sidelines with THE PRESS RADIO, the programs Manager Mr. Daniel Okitty Boamah disclosed that the objective of  Screw-up moment 2.0 was to offer a platform for attendees to learn and acquire entrepreneurial ideas from the failures of other successful young businessmen and women and to ensure that the youth network interact with the private sector.

Mr. Daniel Okitty Boamah in his statement challenged Ghanaian youth aspiring to be entrepreneurs never to give up on whatever vision they carry just because they failed but should instead pick up lessons from it and move on.
