45-year-old woman drowns in well at Bibiani

A 45-year-old woman, Mary Moah, has drowned in a well at Praga, a suburb of Bibiani in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipality of the Western North Region.

The tragic incident occurred when her family returned from the farm and noticed her absence. After several hours of searching, they discovered the gate covering the household well had been opened.

Upon closer inspection, they found her lifeless body submerged in the well.

The victim’s brother, Ahmed Awudu, explained that the family immediately alerted the Bibiani police and the fire service, who arrived to retrieve the body.

The circumstances surrounding her fall into the well remain unclear.

The body was subsequently transported to the Bibiani Muslim Cemetery for burial, in line with Islamic customs.
