Audio+Video: Angry Juaboso Residents Invoke curses Sir John, government

Residents of Sefwi Juaboso in the Western Region have invoked curse on the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of  Forestry Commission, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie (Sir John) and the government over what they described as unfair treatment against the people of juaboso.

According to the aggrieved residents, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie in collaboration of Juaboso Forestry Operations Manager, Charles Owusu and some Soldiers have arrested over 5000 pieces of wood and over 1000 beams from illegal operators to go and sell it in Accra to add to the consolidated fund.

Speaking at a press conference at Juaboso in the Western Region on Sunday, 21st October, 2018, Okyeame of Sefwi Afere, Nana Owusu Badu stated that they want state auctioneers to come and auction the woods and Juaboso for them to buy some of the woods for developmental projects.

” as am speaking to you if you go to Mintakrom, some students dont have school chairs, some of the school buildings are unroofed and so says you are sending the woods to Accra, we are begging Sir John, Charles Owusu and Forestry Commissioners to auction the woods here but they it seems they are taking us for granted so in a traditional customs we have performed rituals so if they send the woods what would happened to them is our back case” Nana Owusu stated.

” the gods have protected us for many years so if the government want to take us for granted we will do what we can to protect us people and protect our interest” He added.
