3 arrested for attacking Suame NDC Chair granted bail

The three persons who were arrested in connection with the alleged attack on the Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress in the Suame Constituency have been granted bail.

The case which was initially reported at the Suame Divisional Police Command when the incident happened on Monday has been referred to the Regional police headquarters for further investigations.

The victim, Saeed Umar was allegedly attacked by some supporters who demanded he returns a vehicle belonging to the party.

The vehicle in question is still in the custody of the Suame Police Command.

Police at Suame will not give further details but said the Ashanti Regional Police Command has taken over the matter.

Citi News checks at the Regional Command indicate that the suspects and the victim have been invited to the police headquarters.
