25-year-old coach commits suicide at Sefwi- Essam

A 25-year-old team coach for winners FC Junior team has committed suicide by hanging at Sefwi-Essam in the Bia West District of the Western North Region.

Isaac Mensah also known as Kalanga hanged himself with a nylon rope on a tree.

ASP Charles Azalekor, Debeiso District Police Commander, who confirmed the incident to the Ghana News Agency said family members of the deceased reported on Monday that their relative was missing.

According to him before the police could commence investigations into the matter, they had information around 07:25 hours on Tuesday that someone had hanged himself at Sefwi- Essam.

He said the District Police Command, therefore, dispatched men to the scene and only for them to identify the deceased as the man earlier reported as missing.

ASP Azaleko said the body has since been deposited at the Debeiso hospital mortuary for autopsy and that the police would continue with their investigations.
