25-year-old businessman found dead, family alleges he was murdered

A 25-year-old man, identified as Richmond Owusu Kankam, has been found dead at Ahwiaa, a suburb of the Kwabre East Municipality in the Ashanti Region.

The family of the deceased suspects that their relative was murdered and is calling on the police to investigate and bring the perpetrators to justice.

In an interview with the media, the mother of the deceased, Nana Yaa, alleged that her son was murdered and demanded justice. She explained that the young man left home for work but did not return. After being declared missing for three days, he was later found lifeless.

Nana Yaa also claimed that while her son was alive, he had mentioned that some of his friends held personal grudges against him, and she suspects they may have been involved in his death.

The body of Richmond Owusu Kankam, who sold shawarma, was discovered in front of the Roman School. His face was swollen, and blood was oozing from parts of his body.

The police have since retrieved the body and deposited it at the mortuary, awaiting autopsy and further investigation.
