During their meeting, Deputy IGP Yohuno pledged his full support for the initiative and assured Ghanaians of the Ghana Police Service’s unwavering commitment to maintaining peace and security as the nation approaches its December 7, 2024, general elections.
The +233 Peace March, a flagship initiative of Let Love Lead, is designed to promote unity and non-violence ahead of the elections by bringing together political parties, civil society groups, and influential leaders from diverse sectors.
This year’s march will feature high-profile personalities and institutions such as the Electoral Commission (EC), the Office of the National Chief Imam, and several influential figures including Bola Ray, Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD), Gifty Oware, and Bishop Sam Owusu.
Expressing his gratitude, Big Dawood thanked the Deputy IGP and the Ghana Police Service for their support and collaboration.
He noted that maintaining peace requires the collective effort of all sectors, especially security agencies, and emphasized the importance of unity as the country approaches a crucial election period.
Founded in 2020, Let Love Lead is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting underprivileged communities through initiatives focused on education, healthcare, skills development, and community empowerment.
