2 arrested for smuggling Nana Appiah Mensah’s passports granted bail

MyNewsGh.com has confirmed that two persons who were arrested last week for attempting to smuggle traveler’s passport of embattled Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Menzgold, Nana Appiah Mensah have been granted bail.

The two including the Transport Manager of Zylofon Media, Eric Amponsah Bediako and one Smith Danquah who claims to be the father of NAM 1 are expected to report periodically to the police until investigations into the matter are over.

Eric Amponsah Bediako a week ago as reported by MyNewsGh.com, was arrested in Dubai with the passport containing valid visas for the United States of America and United Kingdom by the Emirati police who repatriated him back to the country.

Sources revealed that the passports with numbers G0091908 and G1185652 contained valid US Visa up to 2023 and British Visas up to 2020 belonging Nana Appiah Mensah the CEO of Menzgold Ghana Limited.

The suspect who was deported to Ghana and handed over to the Ghana Immigration Service, claimed one Smith Danquah the father of Nana Appiah Mensah was the one who asked him to send the passports together with other documents to suspect Appiah Mensah’s lawyer in Dubai.

When Suspect Smith Danquah was invited and also interrogated, he stated that the lawyer of NAM 1 called him and requested for the passports together with other documents indicating that they have filed an appeal in Dubai concerning his Interpol detention and the appellate court was requesting for his passports to end able them know his frequency of travel.
