16 year old boy hangs himself over poor BECE results

A 16-year-old boy who had grade 47 in the just ended Basic Education Certificate examination (BECE) has allegedly committed suicide.

According to reports, the deceased, Daniel Mensah hanged himself for not getting placement to any Senior High School (SHS)

This unfortunate incident occurred at Brenuakyim, a town at Tarkwa in the Western region.

The young boy who completed Jesus Mbofra Damfo Preparatory School in Tarkwa did not pass his exams but was hoping he could get admission to SHS.

The issue became worse when he was not placed in any SHS to continue his education.

Uncle of the deceased, Ebo Ayitey in an interview on Adom News said, Daniel before killing himself left a suicide note for his parents urging them not to think about him anymore.

“I can’t stay on this earth anymore because I did not get school” the suicide note said.
