12-year-old pupil commits suicide in the western region of Ghana

A report we sighted on My News Ghana states that a 12-year pupil at Aiyinasi in Ellembelle District of the Western Region allegedly committed suicide by hanging.

The District Police Commander, DSP Thomas Bayor who confirmed the incident to the online portal revealed that it occurred on Monday dawn in the room of the deceased.

The lifeless body of the little who left no note behind to indicate why he laid violent hands on himself has been taken to the morgue for postmortem.

“We received information a 12-year-old committed suicide by hanging in his room at a village called Aiyinasi. We have since confirmed the incident and removed the body to the morgue for preservation. It is quite early to determine if there was a foul play or not”, the DSP said.
