10 suspected armed robbers to be arraigned before court today

10 suspected armed robbers who were apprehended in a swoop carried out by the Ho Municipal Police Command would today Wednesday September 5, 2018 be arraigned before court to answer questions on various charges.

The suspects who were on police wanted list for committing various crimes were arrested at their hideouts in Dave and around the Ho Technical University on Thursday, August 30, 2018.

They are; Isaac Okai alias Top Shatta, Ebenezer Adjei, Kpeyibor Stanley, Bismark Dogbe, Selorm Gizah Asem, David Dasilvera, Osman Anthony, Delali Gagba, Ankrah Sedinam and Agbesi Kwao.

The 10 aged between 18 and 20 usually stationed themselves along the road leading to the southern gate of the Ho Technical University and around the Dave campus of the University of Health and Allied Sciences to rob students, mostly ladies of their mobile phones, laptops and other valuables after 9pm.

Confirming the arrest to the media, the Volta Regional Police Commander, DCOP George Tuffuor, indicated all suspects have admitted to committing various crimes reported and under investigation.

One of the suspects, Isaac Okai, confirmed he shot a man who blew his cover in the leg in Dave in June, 2018, while Agbesi Okai who wears dreadlocks admitted to robbing students around the Ho Technical University and surrendered two mobile phones of victims he robbed on 27th and 28th of August, DCOP Tuffuor revealed.

Meanwhile, there would be an identification parade at the Volta Regional Police Headquarters this morning before the suspects would be arraigned before court.
