Wendy Shay Reports Young Man to Police Over False Lesbianism Allegations

Ghanaian musician Wendy Shay has taken legal action against a young man who circulated a viral video accusing her of engaging in lesbian acts with Tracy Shay, the teenager she has openly supported and referred to as her adopted daughter.

In the video, the man claimed that a spiritualist instructed Wendy Shay to perform sexual acts on Tracy—a claim the singer has strongly dismissed as fabricated, malicious, and damaging.

Following the circulation of the video, Wendy Shay filed an official complaint with the Ghana Police Service. She also appealed to the public to help identify the young man, offering a GHS 5,000 reward to anyone with credible information about him. Current reports suggest he may be living in the United Arab Emirates, working in construction.

Wendy emphasized that the accusations not only tarnish her image but also expose Tracy, a minor, to emotional harm. She reiterated her commitment to ensuring that the individual behind the defamatory statements is held accountable.

The singer further called on Ghanaians to stand against cyberbullying, online defamation, and character assassination, warning that such behaviour can destroy lives and careers.
