Wendy Shay Quits Music For Nursing
Self-styled queen of Ghana music who performs under the stage name Wendy Shay, has exclusively revealed that she dumped music to pursue her nursing career because she is financially bleeding due to how coronavirus has put the music business on an impromptu halt.
Before landing in Ghana to pursue her music career, the celebrated female vocalist was a certified nurse who was practising the noble profession in Germany.
But after finding her foot in the Ghana music industry, she moved permanently to Ghana to became a full-time music person.
In a new post which has been sighted on her IG page today 12th February 2021, the Rufftown Records signee has announced that she’s quitting music for her previous profession which nursing
She broke the shocking news by sharing a photo with her colleague nurses.
As revealed by her, since music is no more paying as it used to because of Coronavirus, she is moving from the arts industry to the health sector before hunger kills her.
In her words, she wrote:
Ghana stand up
Musicians are not playing shows
During this corona so guess what ?
I’m switching to my nursing
So from today to 14th
