We Might Go On A Second Lockdown Soon – Kojo Oppong Nkrumah Hints
Information Minister-designate, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, on Monday, January 25, 2021, has hinted that the Akufo-Addo administration is feverishly considering another lockdown as COVID-19 cases in the country continue to increase.
This deliberation follows after Ghana health service reported that the active cases stand at 3, 286 as of the time of filing this report with six more deaths recorded, taking the number to 367.
Whiles speaking with a group journalists in Accra this morning, he is reported to have said;
There’s a possibility of a lockdown and other restrictions. If this trend continues, then yes that is where we are heading. I have to be very clear on that one that more restrictions could be introduced if this trend continues,
