Volta crash: One dead, 2 injured
A commercial Hyundai mini-bus with registration number WR 1379 – 10, loaded with over 15 bags of 50 kg rice and several cartons of spaghetti, has been involved in an accident at Klefe Dome, a mountainous community within the Ho municipality.
The Friday, 7 February 2020 car crash occurred at about 9:30 am.
The driver, believed to be in his 40s, died in the crash while two passengers sustained severe injuries.
An eyewitness told Class Media Group’s Ho 92.5 FM that the driver lost control on a portion of the road which is being constructed, forcing him to veer off into a nearby house.
The Ghana Police Service has sent the deceased to the morgue and the two injured passengers taken to the Ho Teaching Hospital for medical treatment.
The bus is believed to have loaded the goods from Ho to Kpeve.
