According to the farmers and drivers who use the said route says that they will send their cocoa to cote D’ Ivoire to sell if their poor roads network are not fixed immediately.

According to them, they have been facing this huge challenge for more then 20 years now and nothing has been done about it despite their several complaints and now calling on the Government to come to their aid.

Speaking to GhanaWeb, they revealed that the road was constructed by former President Jeyy John Rawlings in the year 1987 and they said whenever it is rain, they find it very difficult to go home and farmers, on the other hand, cannot even go to their farms work due to the flooded nature of it.

However, they “When it’s time for vote, Ghanaian leadership will come around and after voting none of them will even decide to pay a visit to us”.

They accused the Member of Parliament of Aowin Constituency, Hon. Mathias Kwame Ntow for failing to honour his of constructing their road for them.

“The MP of this Constituency (Aowin) always promise us that the road will be constructed anytime he is campaigning”, they said.

Moreover, Some farmers also lamented that there was a time that a car bringing fertilizer to them, due to the poor road had an accident and all their fertilizer destroyed.

Traders lose their lives when they travel to Elubo market to sell their foodstuffs, pregnant women are being carried in tricycles from Enchi to Elubo hospital.

Some of the farmers lamented that, if the government refuse to do something about the road, they will sell their all their cocoa beans to Cote d’Ivoire.

Residents also lamented that, they will demonstrate against the current government because, if it’s time for the election, “these Leaders will come to our communities and promise us but after the election, they will never step a foot here”.

They went “mad” over the MP and threatened him not to try to come around else they will beat him.

They revealed, “We will start sending our cocoa beans both fresh and dry ones to Ivory Coast”
