VIDEO: Malik Basintale Breaks Silence on Rumours of Suffering a Stroke

Deputy Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Malik Basintale, has finally addressed widespread rumours claiming he had suffered a stroke. The politician, who has been noticeably absent from the public space in recent weeks, clarified the situation in a new video that has since gone viral.

Basintale dismissed the circulating claims as false and exaggerated, describing the rumours as a deliberate attempt by detractors to create panic and misinform the public. He revealed that although he experienced a health challenge, it was not a stroke, and he is now recovering well.

In the video, he appeared calm and in good spirits, assuring his supporters that he is strong and steadily regaining full health. He thanked all those who reached out to check on him and expressed appreciation for the prayers, love, and support he received during his brief health setback.

Basintale also took the opportunity to caution the public against believing unverified information, especially when it concerns the health and wellbeing of public figures. According to him, the speed at which the rumours spread highlights the need for responsible communication and the importance of fact-checking before sharing sensitive news.

Supporters of the NDC reacted with relief after seeing him speak for himself. Many took to social media to express their joy over his recovery, while others condemned those who allegedly fabricated the story. Several party members have also encouraged him to take enough time to rest and fully regain his strength before returning to active political duties.

Political analysts note that such rumours can have significant emotional and political impact, especially in a heated political environment. Basintale’s direct communication, they say, was timely and necessary to dispel fears and restore clarity among supporters.

For now, Malik Basintale says he is focused on recuperating and intends to return to work soon, stronger and more energized. His message has brought reassurance to many, easing concerns and shifting the conversation from speculation to relief.
