Uganda army would have crushed Guinea junta in hours – President’s son
Days after Ugandan president Yoweri Museveni used hard words on the Guinean junta asking them to ‘get out,’ his son, a top general in the army has commented on the coup.
Whiles his father spoke in an interview with French broadcaster RFI,
Muhoozi Kainerugaba, took to Twitter to express his views on the Guinea coup.
He averred in a post that the Guinea-style coup would remain an attempt in the Ugandan context because it would be crushed before it takes off.
“If our Commander in Chief gave us instructions it wouldn’t take UPDF a day to discipline mutinous troops like the ones in Guinea-Conakry,” he tweeted with a picture of coup leader Mamady Doumbouya.
Over in Guinea, the coup leaders have started a four-tier consultation with stakeholders on launching the country towards a political transition.
