Tricycle Rider Dies in Fatal Crash on N1 Highway

A tragic road accident on the N1 Highway near the Achimota Forest Roundabout has claimed the life of a tricycle rider following a collision with a Mercedes-Benz vehicle.

According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred when the tricycle, popularly known as a “kante”, was struck by the speeding car. The impact left the rider with severe injuries, and he was later pronounced dead.

The crash caused significant traffic congestion in the area as bystanders and police officers rushed to the scene to assist. The body of the deceased has since been taken to a nearby hospital morgue, while investigations have been launched to determine the cause of the accident.

Residents and regular commuters have described the section of the N1 as a danger zone, citing poor road discipline, excessive speeding, and inadequate traffic control measures as persistent problems.
