Presidential Staffer Claims Mahama Sends GH¢20,000 Monthly to Each NDC Constituency

A presidential staffer, Mustapha Gbande, Deputy Director of Operations at the Presidency, has revealed that President John Dramani Mahama allegedly channels GH¢20,000 each month to every National Democratic Congress (NDC) constituency to support party operations.

According to Gbande, the funds are intended to sustain grassroots party activities across the country, providing the NDC with a consistent cash flow for constituency-level initiatives. The claims have ignited debate about the use of state resources for partisan purposes, raising questions about legality and financial accountability.

Supporters argue that such transfers could help maintain party infrastructure, while critics warn of potential misuse of public funds and the blurring of lines between government finances and political party interests.

The Presidency has yet to comment on the allegations. Observers are calling for independent verification and audits to ensure transparency and confirm whether the monthly disbursements are lawful and properly managed.
