Panama Coach Reacts to World Cup Draw, Calls Ghana a Major Threat

Panama’s national team coach, Thomas Christiansen, has shared his thoughts following the draw for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where his side will face Ghana in Group L.

According to Christiansen, Ghana’s Black Stars stand out as one of the most dangerous teams in the group. He noted that Ghana’s blend of pace, physicality, and experience on the global stage makes them a difficult opponent for any team to overlook.

He explained that Panama will need to prepare thoroughly, as Ghana’s squad has a reputation for rising to the occasion during high-stakes competitions. Christiansen also acknowledged the quality of individual Ghanaian players and the team’s strong football culture, which he believes will bring intensity to every match.

Despite describing Ghana as a serious challenge, he expressed confidence that Panama will approach the tournament with determination and the belief that they can compete strongly in the group.
