National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Samuel Ofosu Ampofo has disclosed the party has no intention in winning election 2020 through violence.

According to the Mr Ofosu, he will not kill, insult or kidnap anybody in the quest to win power in 2020.

He made this known during former President Mahama’s victory walk on March 2, 2019 in Accra.

These comments of Mr Ofosu follows a leaked tape purported to be his voice recording of a meeting with the party’s communicators in which he was heard inciting members for violence.

However after a long silence on the leaked tape, Mr Ofosu in his first remarks, he stated he is a man for peace and will remain focus ahead of the general election.

“I am confident the NDC will win the election through a free and fair means so there is no need to be violent.”

Mr Ampofo added he is prepared and willing to help in investigating the issue to get to the bottom of it.

“I am prepared to the police’s invitation on Monday and willing to answer every question to help the process.”
