My crew had a good intention – Shatta Wale speaks

Shatta Wale has finally opened up following the confusion that rocked the 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).

Shatta Wale had walked onto the stage leading to a fight that broke out between his fans and those of Stonebwoy.

His walking to the stage was understood by Stonebwoy’s fans as an attack on their idol, forcing them to start an attack on him.

However, Shatta Wale has disclosed that he walked to the stage to congratulate Stonebwoy.

“My crew had good intentions moving up there for us to prove that unity to make this 20years celebration a wonderful one but hey ,as usual Shatta Wale dierr Ibe dis ,Ibe dat “ so what happened just happen and the sensible ones saw how insecure music has made some people just to pull out guns,” he posted on his Facebook page.

Earlier, YEN.com.gh reported how the chaotic situation happened during the award ceremony. Stonebwoy had been called on stage to receive the Reggae-Dancehall Artiste of the Year award beating Shatta Wale, samini, and others.

Unexpectedly, Shatta Wale who was seated in the crowd decided to show up on the stage during Stonebwoy’s speech. While Shatta Wale’s motive was not known he was resisted and it turned into a very chaotic situation bringing the whole programme to a halt for considerable length of time.

As security stood in the middle of the factions and did all they could to stop the situation from escalating, Stonebwoy pulled a gun.
