Man Sentenced to 16 Years for Sexually Abusing Seven‑Year‑Old Boy

A 22-year-old man, identified as Eric Asamoah, has been sentenced to 16 years in prison with hard labour after being convicted of sodomising a seven-year-old boy. The case was heard at the Cape Coast Circuit Court Two in the Central Region of Ghana.

The court found that there was substantial evidence proving the convict sexually abused the young child, leading to the lengthy prison term. The sentence aims to reflect the seriousness of the crime and serve as a deterrent to others.
