Lotto Agent dies from robbers’ gunshots
Forty-Year-old Simon Kofi has been shot dead by armed robbers at Atwima Techiman in the Atwima Kwanwoma District of the Ashanti Region, MyNewsGh.com reports
The unfortunate incident which occurred on Wednesday dawn around 1am has thrown family and friends into a state of shock and mourning.
The brother of the deceased who was speaking in an interview with Pure FM’s Osei Kwadwo said, “his friend came to call him around 12:30am to escort him to a place and they left”.
“On his way, the deceased saw 2 boys standing in front of his house and he asked them what they were doing there and demanded they leave his house but they instead shot at him 3 times”.
According to him, “we rushed him to SDA hospital at Kwadaso but they sent us away because they were demanding for a police report, my brother (the deceased) was pronounced dead at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital”.
“They didn’t steal anything from the house after shooting him. They left the house when the deceased’s wife raised an alarm”
The body of Simon Kofi has since been deposited at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital morgue pending autopsy.
Meanwhile Atwima Techiman Police has arrested 3 suspects in connection with the shooting.
