Juliet Ibrahim Appointed President of Women in Film and Television (WIFT) Ghana

The prestigious Women in Film and Television International (WIFTI) proudly welcomes Juliet Ibrahim as the new President of WIFT Ghana, marking a significant milestone in the movement towards gender equality in the Ghanaian and African film industries.
With over 50 chapters worldwide, WIFTI is a global powerhouse committed to amplifying the voices of women in film, television, and digital media. The Ghana chapter is at the forefront of this mission, championing diversity, leadership, and access to opportunities for women across the creative industry.
Juliet Ibrahim—an award-winning actress, filmmaker, entrepreneur, and humanitarian—brings her passion, influence, and vision to this role, ensuring that women in Ghana’s film and television industry have a seat at the table, a voice in decision-making, and the resources to thrive.
In her words: “I am honored to be a member of this community of driven and committed women, and I have faith that we can change things together. Let’s stick together and keep fighting for a more just and equal industry.
It is a privilege to serve as President of this vibrant group of women in Ghana’s film and television industries. Our chapter is part of a global network of Women In Film and Television International groups that promote gender equality in the film and television industries, and we are dedicated to improving women’s roles in these fields.”
Under her leadership, WIFT Ghana will continue to provide mentorship, funding access, networking, and advocacy to ensure that women are not just included in the industry, but are thriving in it.
