I’ve sacrificed for NPP but my efforts have not been appreciated – Rev. Owusu-Bempah

Reverend Isaac Owusu-Bempah, founder and leader of Glorious Word Power Ministry International, has expressed his displeasure over the lack of appreciation from the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the sacrifices he has made.

According to Rev. Owusu-Bempah, he worked both spiritually and physically to help secure victory for the NPP in the 2016 and 2020 general elections, yet the party has now turned its back on him.

The well-known supporter of the NPP, who predicted the party’s success in both elections, made these comments in response to a verbal attack by an NPP member on Wontumi TV. The individual not only insulted Rev. Owusu-Bempah but also claimed that it was the devil speaking through him.

Additionally, the NPP member accused the pastor of conspiring with other prominent religious leaders to sabotage the construction of the National Cathedral project.

Speaking to his congregation on Sunday, September 22, 2024, Rev. Owusu-Bempah expressed his pain over the false accusations and insults directed at him.

He emphasized that no other man of God in Ghana worked as hard as he did, both spiritually and physically, for the NPP during the previous elections.

“There is no denying that I fought for Nana Akufo-Addo and the NPP in 2016. I fought for the NPP both physically and spiritually. No man of God in Ghana worked in both the spiritual realm and the physical realm more than I did.

“We did our work, and it was God who directed us to do it. But despite everything, my efforts have not been appreciated. We are now in an election year, with just 76 days left until the elections. We shall see. Why are members of the NPP insulting me and spreading lies, claiming that I fought to stop the National Cathedral project?” Rev. Owusu-Bempah lamented.
