GPL: Eleven Wonders coach Arrested after threatening to beat Referee over poor officiating
Coach of Ghanaian premier League side Eleven Wonders, Ignatius Osei-Ofosu grabbed by police in dramatic Fashion for threatening to beat the hell out of Referee Eric Owusu Prempeh after their match against Bechem United.
The Techiman based club lost 3-1 to Bechem after taking the lead and their coach is not happy with the center referee.
It all started when there was a foul against his team but the opponent played the dead ball without the whistle and also not from the spot. This ball led to a second goal against them with the scores level earlier.
He got agitated as to why the referee didn’t call back the ball thereby confronting the linesman, which led into a heated argument. He was booked (yellow card) for that.
