Ghanaian police officers have reportedly refused a $20,000 bribe offered by an alleged Nigerian drug trafficker caught with cocaine, reinforcing their commitment to combating corruption and drug-related crime.
The suspect, identified as Charles Adenkule, was intercepted while driving a Jeep with Nigerian registration during a routine police operation. Authorities say he attempted to bribe the officers with cash in exchange for his release and to avoid prosecution.
Rather than accept the offer, the officers refused the bribe and proceeded with the arrest, seizing both the cash and the illegal drugs.
