EOCO Confirms Ongoing Investigations Into Springfield Energy and BOST

The Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) has clarified reports surrounding its investigations into Springfield Energy and the Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company Limited (BOST), confirming that both cases are still under active investigation.

In a recent statement, EOCO dismissed claims suggesting arrests or conclusions in the Springfield Energy probe, noting that such reports were premature and inaccurate. The agency emphasized that no final outcomes have been reached and assured the public that all investigative processes are being handled with professionalism and due diligence.

EOCO further explained that its inquiry into BOST remains ongoing, with all related individuals and entities being thoroughly examined. The agency urged the media and the public to avoid speculation and to rely solely on official communications for updates.

The clarification comes amid heightened public attention and discussions surrounding potential irregularities within Ghana’s energy sector. EOCO reiterated its commitment to transparency, accountability, and the rule of law in handling all corruption-related cases.
