Electoral Commission Confirms Readiness for Kpandai Parliamentary Rerun

The Electoral Commission (EC) has announced that it is fully prepared to conduct the parliamentary rerun election in Kpandai Constituency, following a court-mandated nullification of the previous vote.
EC officials confirmed that all logistical arrangements have been completed, including the distribution of election materials, staffing of polling stations, and deployment of trained personnel to all voting centres across the constituency. Security measures have also been coordinated with national security agencies to ensure a peaceful and orderly election.
The rerun comes after the original parliamentary election in Kpandai was invalidated due to procedural irregularities. Residents of the constituency will now have the opportunity to cast their ballots and elect a representative in compliance with electoral laws.
The commission emphasised its commitment to transparency, integrity, and adherence to electoral procedures, assuring political parties, observers, and the public that all stakeholders will be fully engaged throughout the rerun process. Voters are encouraged to participate responsibly and exercise their democratic rights.
Officials say the rerun election’s outcome will have significant implications for parliamentary representation in Kpandai, and the EC is focused on ensuring a credible, free, and fair process that reflects the will of the people.
