A fresh update emerging from Ejura has it that the District Chief Executive for the town, Bamba Salisu has absconded with his whole family in the wake of the disturbances being recorded at Ejura.
According to Johnny Hughes of TV3 on the New Day programme made it known that the District Chief Executive and his family have vacated the township of Ejura and it is the Police Command now in charge.
Recall a Myjoyonline publication stated that two people were killed while four others are injured after some protesting youth of Ejura Sekyedumase clashed with the military and police on Tuesday morning.
Since the death of the 40-year-old Ibrahim Mohammed, aka Kaaka, the youth say they are willing to sacrifice their lives until they get justice for him.
The youth stormed the police station on Tuesday morning to inquire about the extent of investigations regarding the murder of their colleague, stressing that they want the Police to leave no stone unturned in bringing the perpetrators to book.
In the same vein, the Medical Superintendent at the Ejura Government Hospital Dr. Mensah Manye how two of the protesters were shot in Ejura on Tuesday, June 29 sadly died at his facility.
“Actually, they had a severe gunshot injury, a penetrating injury to the chest directly. One was shot at the back into the chest, the other one was shot at the left-hand side of the chest,” he told TV3‘s Ibrahim Abubakar on Tuesday.
