The Majority Leader and Member of Parliament (MP) for Suame, Hon Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, has fulfilled his promise towards constructing a modern standard clinic at the Suame Magazine in Kumasi.
The facility, which aims at delivering healthcare services to cater for the medical needs of the people especially the artisans , can be located at the Zone 5.
Addressing members of the party, Hon Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, who is the Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, said when completed, the facility will bring healthcare services closer to the people at the area.
” The contractor has Commenced work on the project and constructing the foundational stage of the clinic”. Hon Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu said.
According to him, to facilitate the movement of vehicles, a 10 kilometer road at the Suame Magazine has already been awarded and work will commence soon.
The Member of Parliament noted that plans are also advanced for the establishment of Suame District Hospital adding work will commence next year.
According to him, the site for the hospital has been allocated already at New Suame and due to it’s size, the contractor will design the project in a storey building to undertake all forms of healthcare delivery.
On road, Hon Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu noted that contract has already been awarded to Kofi Job Construction Company.
According to him, all the existing electoral areas in the Constituency will witness road constructional works adding work has already commenced at the Abusuakruwa Electoral Area.
The Majority Leader disclosed that about 70 percent of the roads will be asphalted to give a facelift to the municipality.
According to him, the road construction is expected to be completed within one year facilitate vehicular movement within the Constituency.
When completed, he said, will pave way for diversion of some roads to Suame to ease traffic when the construction of interchange at Suame Roundabout commences next year.
Hon Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu believed Ghanaians will boast of numerous developmental projects if the ruling party is allowed to rule the country for more than eight years.
According to him, the plans put in place including industrialisation projects under the One District One Factory (1D1F), assembling of cars, and free Senior high school will take time to bear the expected fruits.
Hon Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu called on Ghanaians to rally behind Government to help move the country from its current situation to a better one .
