Chief killed by speeding bus
A chief of Awutu Awin-Taso in the Awutu Senya West District of the Central Region, Nai Akufu, has been killed in a fatal road accident on the Kasoa-Cape Coast highway.
According to reports, the chief was crashed to death by a speeding Sprinter Benz bus Saturday, dismembering his body.
An eyewitness, Yaw Obed, who spoke to Adom News about the incidence said the late Nai Akufu who is the Abokomanhene of Awin-Taso was crossing the road when he was run over by the bus.
He said the driver, sensing danger, sped off when he saw a crowd moving to his direction.
Distraught family members of the late chief have expressed utter shock on seeing the lifeless body on their kin.
A sister to the late chief who said he spoke to him shortly before the announcement of his death hit her, said she was in complete shock over the incidence.
Nai Akufu’s body has since been deposited at the Cape Coast Government Hospital morgue pending autopsy.
