Checkout the Schools that have qualified to the semi-finals of NSMQ

St. Peter’s Senior High School, Chemu Senior High School, and Presbyterian Boys’ School have qualified for the semi-final stage of the ongoing National Science and Mathematics Quiz competition after winning their respective quarter-finals on Friday.

St. Peter’s SHS, based in the Eastern Region, advanced to the Semi-final stage after defeating Sonrise SHS and Bolgatanga SHS. Prior to that, they defeated Notre Dame Girls’ SHS and Notre Dame Seminary SHS.

Chemu SHS secured their victory over St. Augustine’s College and Kanton SHS by correctly answering the final riddle in the contest’s final round, putting them three points ahead of St. Augustine’s College’s 44 points.

 

Presbyterian Boys’ School, the winner of last year’s National Science and Mathematics Quiz competition, also defeated Swedru SHS and Techiman SHS in the third contest of the first day of the competition’s Quarter-finals Stage.

They entered the competition with the slogan “Seven’ a living God” and earned 70 points after five rounds of intellectual combat. Swedru SHS and Techiman SHS finished the game with 49 and 34 points, respectively.

Keta Senior High Technical School (Ketasco) also qualified for the semi-finals on Saturday, November 20th 2021, defeating St. Lious Senior High and Ghana National College.

On Tuesday, November 24, 2021, the four Senior High Schools (SHSs), namely Chemu SHS, St. Peter’s SHS, and Presbyterian Boys’ School, will compete in the first Semifinal Stage contest to determine the 2021 NSMQ’s first finalist.

The competition’s preliminary stage ran from October 26, 2021, to November 5, 2021. On the same date, balloting for the 2021 edition of the National Science & Maths Quiz (NSMQ) preliminary rounds took place.

From Friday, November 12, 2021, to Tuesday, November 23, 2021, the eighth stage of the most-watched television Quiz competition began. Tuesday, November 26, 2021, has been set as the date for the grand finale.

The National Science and Mathematics Quiz (NSMQ), founded in 1993 and produced by Primetime Limited, is an annual national level quiz competition for Senior High Schools across the country.
