Bompata Church Of Pentecost Launches Environmental Care Campaign

Cleanliness they say is next to Godliness, as part of Social responsibility of a Church, the church of Pentecost Bompata Area in Kumasi has launched an Environmental care campaign to support the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly to keep the city clean.

The campaign dubed “Environmental Care my responsibility” is scheduled to take place every month within the Kumasi Metropolis.

The Area Apostle, Apostle Abraham Lincoln Angoh who led the exercise disclosed that the clean up exercise which is aimed at protecting the environment with regards to sanitation issues kicked start today from Asafo maket through Kejetia where heavy flit are engulf in huge gutter and it environs.

He said not only cleaning the environment but educating the church and the general public on the need to keep the environment tidy is also a factor to consider in tackling sanitation and the church is on course.

Explaining further, Apostle Lincoln said government alone cannot solve sanitation issues. He therefore called on other churches to help and educate the public on issues of sanitation and the danger it poses on our life.

On the part of the Assembly, the Assembly members for fante new town Hon Morrison Jagama who took part in the exercise said, the move by the church is in the right direction since keeping the environment clean is now a national issues.

According to him the assembly will fully support any action or activities which will help keep the city clean. He called on residents to be law abiding with regards to issues of sanitation. ,,,,
