A seemingly promising job opportunity in Belgium has reportedly led to the exposure of a major human trafficking network after a 26-year-old Ghanaian woman, identified by the pseudonym Doris Ampem, shared her experience with authorities.
According to report, Ampem was initially attracted by what appeared to be a legitimate employment opportunity in Belgium. Like many people seeking better opportunities abroad, she reportedly viewed the offer as a chance to improve her circumstances and build a better future.
However, the situation reportedly took a disturbing turn, eventually raising concerns that the employment opportunity was connected to a wider human trafficking operation.
