Audio: MP fights assembly over suspension of personal assistant
Member of Parliament for Asante Akyem North is on a collision course with the local assembly for indicting his Personal Assistant over alleged unilateral re-award of a contract without due process.
Andy Appiah-Kubi says the assembly erred in suspending Derrick Amoah who is also Convener for the assembly’s Finance and Administration Committee and four others.
The officers are said to have collaborated with the contractor to illegally withdraw and pocket part of an amount of 45,000 Ghana Cedis meant for Wioso CHPS Compound But the MP for the area insists they were not given a fair hearing
