(AUDIO): I will bring a goat to represent me in court in Anas case – Ken Agyapong

Member of Parliament for Assin Central is not happy that undercover journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, will not represent himself in court in the defamation suit brought against him.

Hon. Kennedy Agyapong says until Anas decides to face him in court, the case will be dead on arrival.

The Assin Central legislator is facing a GH₵25 million suit for defaming Anas for comments he made since the release of his latest investigative piece on corruption in football.

The outspoken MP described Anas as a “thief, blackmailer and an extortionist” whose only aim is to destroy people to enrich himself.

According to the MP, the GH¢25 million is peanut for him, indicating his preparedness to deal with it if found guilty of libel.

As the case heats up, Anas has appointed his friend, Listowel Yesu Bukason to represent him in court to clear his name.

But on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Monday, Ken Agyapong said he is more than prepared to back his allegations with incontrovertible evidence.

“I have every evidence to back the allegations I have made against him. I am ready for him in court to prove to Ghanaians that Anas is evil”.

He has also given the indication that he will only be available in court if Anas also appears without his mask.

Otherwise, the outspoken MP noted that he will also bring a goat to represent him in court.

Ken Agyapong said his fight against Anas is unabated, warning him to brace himself for a gargantuan humiliation because “I will give them overwhelming evidence to prove my case”.

“If Anas is our hero then, Ghana, we are doomed”, he asserted.
