As part of her ongoing constituency engagement initiatives, Hon. Hajia Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimah, Member of Parliament for Salaga-South Constituency, donated 100 metal dual desks to Singbunwura Braimah School at Bagabaga in the East Gonja Municipality on Monday, 10th February 2026.
The donation reflects the MP’s long-standing commitment to improving education in the municipality. Over the years, Hon. Hajia Zuwera has supported education through scholarships for bright but needy students, investment in school infrastructure, sponsorship of mock exams for BECE candidates, and regular provision of teaching and learning materials to schools across her constituency.
During a brief handing-over ceremony at Bagabaga, Hon. Hajia Zuwera emphasized that education is the foundation of opportunity and national development. She reaffirmed her dedication to prioritizing educational support as resources allow and urged the school management and pupils to make proper and effective use of the desks to enhance learning.
Receiving the desks on behalf of the school, Madam Abiba Bakari-Soale, Municipal Education Director for East Gonja, expressed sincere gratitude to the MP for her continuous support of the education sector. She praised Hon. Hajia Zuwera for her consistency and dedication in improving teaching and learning conditions within the municipality.
The ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, including Rev. Augustine, Deputy Director in charge of Monitoring and Supervision; Mr. Bonzali Ebenezer, Municipal Public Relations Officer of the Ghana Education Service (GES) for East Gonja; Mr. Abdul-Manan Siiba, Headmaster of Singbunwura Braimah School; Ing. Abdul Nasser Adam, Board Member of the Road Fund and Special Advisor to the MP; and Mr. Haruna Abdul Aziz (Abosti), NDC Constituency Chairman. Other party executives and staff from the Office of the Member of Parliament were also present.
The donation is expected to significantly improve classroom conditions at Singbunwura Braimah School, fostering an environment conducive to effective teaching and learning for all students.
