The programme was officially launched on Monday, 23rd February, 2026, at the Afro-Arab Group office in Kokomlemle, Accra.
At the launch, 50 electric vehicles were handed over, with assurances that the remaining 950 vehicles will be delivered in phases within the shortest possible time.
The initiative was launched by George Opare Addo, Minister for Youth Development and Empowerment, on behalf of John Dramani Mahama, and witnessed by key stakeholders from Imperial General Insurance, Republic Bank Ghana, and AETS Ghana.
