Amerado Reveals How DJ Slim Lured Him into Beef with Medikal

Ghanaian rapper Amerado has disclosed the behind-the-scenes details of how radio personality DJ Slim allegedly orchestrated his public conflict with fellow rapper Medikal.

In a recent interview, Amerado explained that a conversation with DJ Slim planted the seeds of the disagreement. According to Amerado, what began as casual banter was guided into a more serious rivalry through DJ Slim’s intervention and suggestions. Amerado described feeling manipulated into the beef:

“I was just speaking my mind, then DJ Slim prompted info and nudged things. Before I knew it, I was in a full-blown dispute with Medikal.”

The revelations shed light on the role of radio personalities in shaping narratives within the Ghanaian music industry — not just as commentators but as active participants influencing artist relationships. Industry insiders note that this dynamic is common but rarely acknowledged openly.

Amerado emphasised that while artists are responsible for their actions, external influences such as DJs and media personalities can intensify conflicts:

“We think we’re alone in the studio, but there are voices steering the ship from the side.”

The beef with Medikal was public, heated, and played out across social media, music platforms and interviews — offering both rappers exposure but also strain on personal and professional relationships. Amerado’s new account invites reflection on how such disputes are engineered and maintained within entertainment ecosystems.

While DJ Slim has not publicly responded to Amerado’s claims, the interview has sparked discussion among fans, fellow artists, and media watchers about the ethics of manipulation and stirring controversy for ratings or engagement.
