Adele Traditional Council Pledges Support for Hon. Joseph Awal Antwi, Calls for Unity and Development in Nkwanta South

Traditional leaders from the Adele Traditional Council have paid a courtesy visit to the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Nkwanta South, Hon. Joseph Awal Antwi, to officially welcome him into office and pledge their full support towards peace and development in the municipality.

The distinguished delegation, led by Nana Afram Kwakru II, the Acting Paramount Chief of the Adele Traditional Council, and Nana Amanfor Monfankye, commended Hon. Antwi’s appointment and reaffirmed their readiness to partner with him to promote unity, peace, and progress in the area.

“We are here to officially welcome you into office and to assure you of our total support,” said Nana Afram Kwakru II. “The Adele Traditional Council is committed to working hand-in-hand with your administration to ensure that Nkwanta South experiences the peace and development it rightfully deserves.”

The chiefs stressed the importance of unity and appealed to all stakeholders—political leaders, religious figures, and community members—to come together and foster an atmosphere of harmony for the betterment of the municipality. They reiterated that no meaningful development can take place without sustained peace.

In his response, Hon. Joseph Awal Antwi expressed deep appreciation for the traditional council’s visit and their goodwill. He pledged to adopt a servant-leadership approach and emphasized that his administration would be open, inclusive, and transparent.

“I am humbled by your visit and inspired by your words of support,” Hon. Antwi said. “I am here to serve, not to rule. As MCE, I believe leadership must be rooted in humility and collaboration. My doors will always be open to our traditional authorities and to all who seek to bring positive change to Nkwanta South.”

Hon. Antwi also conveyed a message from His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, who has assured the people of Nkwanta South through the MCE that significant developmental projects will be undertaken once peace is firmly established in the area.

“President Mahama has assured us that when peace prevails, the necessary infrastructure and development initiatives will follow. We must therefore work together, as one people, to create a peaceful environment that attracts opportunity and growth,” Hon. Antwi added.

The visit ended on a hopeful and collaborative note, with both the Adele Traditional Council and the office of the MCE pledging to deepen their partnership in the interest of Nkwanta South. The shared vision remains clear: a united, peaceful, and developed municipality for all.
