Abia APC accuses Emenike over recent violent clash at Tinubu’s presidential campaign

The All Progressives Congress(APC), has berated the factional governorship candidate of the party in Abia state, Ikechi Emenike, over the recent violences that erupted during the electioneering campaign tour to the state by the APC presidential flagbearer, Ahmed Bola Tinubu.
The party also insisted the civic disturbance which heralded the recently- held APC presidential campaigns and rallies held in the state capital, has further justified the existing lawsuit instituted against those who had allegedly plotted to impose an unpopular candidate on party members and Abia people, against the democratically-elected flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress for the March 11th Governorship election, Uche Ogah.
It was gathered violent clashes ensued between the warring factions in Abia chapter of the APC as scores of party members and supporters who attended the Bola Ahmed Tinubu presidential campaign and rallies in Umuahia township stadium were injured.
However, Offor Okorie, the Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress in Abia state, while addressing cross section of journalists in umuahia on friday, applauded the courage of notable APC leaders from the state in boycotting the recent party functions hosted by the  splinter group in the state chapter of the progressive party.
According to Okorie, “we salute the courage of our leaders in APC who refused to endorse illegality but showed uncommon solidarity with Dr Uche Ogah by intentionally staying out of the APC presidential rally which an impostor and unpopular character, Ikechi Emenike who is illegally parading himself as Abia APC Govrenorship candidate, coordinated in conjunction with a woman who made her husband a fugitive in his own land.
“The roll call of APC leaders in Abia state that didn’t attend has shown the world that Ikechi Emenike is on his own. Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, Dr Uche Ogah, Hon Sam Onuigbo, Chief B.B Apugo, Senator Nkechi Nwaogu, Dr Chris Akomas, Nyerere Anyim, Prince Paul Ikonne, Rt Hon Stanley Ohajiruka,
and many others too numerous to mention.
“With the above-mentioned absentees, the question should be, who are the APC leaders in southeast and Abia in particular that received the Presidential campaign council in Abia?
“Indeed, Ikechi Emenike and his sponsors including the woman paid by external forces to insult our leader arw lone rangers in Abia”.
The Abia party spokesman who also used the medium to reaffirm the earlier stand of the state leadership of the APC on the concluded direct gubernatorial primary elections conducted by the APC national leadership in Abia, which elected the past Minister of State for Mines and Steel development, Dr Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah, as the main APC Gubernatorial candidate in the state for the march 2023 governorship  elections by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Recall that Ogah was declared the winner of the just concluded gubernatorial primary elections after he scored 141,952 votes to beat his closest rival, Paul Ikonne who scored 27,054.
Other gubernatorial aspirants includes, Chief Ikechi Emenike who polled 9,446, Emeka Atuma with 7,429, Obinna Oriaku with 5,553, Alex Otti scored 2,41,  and Daniel Eke who got 1,953 at the keenly contested direct primaries.
