Abena Osei-Asare Hands Over Two-Storey Doctors’ Bungalow to Enyiresi Government Hospital

The Member of Parliament for Atiwa East Constituency, Hon. Abena Osei-Asare, has reaffirmed her commitment to strengthening healthcare delivery in her constituency with the commissioning and handover of a two-storey Doctors’ Bungalow at the Enyiresi Government Hospital.
Speaking at the ceremony Hon. Osei-Asare described the project as a personal initiative fully funded by her as part of her social responsibility to give back to the people of Atiwa East for the confidence and trust reposed in her over the years.
According to the MP, access to quality healthcare goes beyond medical equipment and medicines and must also include decent accommodation for health professionals, particularly doctors who often have to relocate to serve in rural and peri-urban communities.
“I strongly believe that one of the most effective ways to improve healthcare outcomes is by ensuring that our hardworking medical professionals are comfortable. When doctors are well accommodated, they are better positioned to serve our people with dedication and peace of mind,” she noted.
The newly constructed two-storey bungalow is expected to ease accommodation challenges at the hospital, improve staff retention, and ultimately enhance the quality of healthcare services available to residents of Enyiresi and its surrounding communities.
The handover ceremony was attended by several distinguished personalities, including the District Chief Executive (DCE), the Enyiresi Queenmother, the Acting District Health Director, the Medical Superintendent, hospital staff, and members of the local community.
Speakers at the event commended Hon. Osei-Asare for her foresight, leadership, and continuous investment in people-centred development.
In her concluding remarks, the MP assured constituents of her unwavering commitment to development, particularly in the areas of health, education, and critical infrastructure.
“I will continue to invest in projects that strengthen our health system and improve the overall well-being of our people,” she emphasized.
The project adds to a growing list of interventions by Hon. Abena Osei-Asare aimed at improving living standards and promoting sustainable development within the Atiwa East Constituency.
