2023 NASS elections: Nnamdi Iro-Orji harps on committment to redefine representation of Abia north senatorial district
Nnamdi Iro Orji, the Labour Party Senatorial candidate for Abia north district seat in the forthcoming 2023 general elections in Abia state, has restated his preparedness to rewrite the narratives in the representatiation of Abia north district at the national assembly when supported to emerge as Senator in 2023.
Recall that Nnamdi Iro Oji was former chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Abia, had in May 2023 emerged as Labour Party Senatorial candidate for Abia north district at a concluded primary elections held by the leadership of the party across the state.
Speaking with a cross section of journalists in Umuahia, the state capital during the weekend, Orji asserted that the forthcoming 2023 general elections would be a year in the political history of Nigeria when the old order must give way for the new one and the welfare of the people through internal democracy and accountability.
According to the LP national assembly hopeful, “the time has passed when the destiny of the youths is left in the hands of older and fading elders who have glutonously clung unto power for decades without plans of relinquishing same to their children.
“For that reason, we must wrestle the power from them to rebuild our state, rewrite our destiny, and rekindle our passion for a greater tomorrow.”.
Continuing Orji added, “we have come to a point in our history when we must take our destinies into our future by the actions of our today which we must hold sacrosanct.
“Labour Party has offered us the best vehicle to convey our dreams and actualize our realities beyond 2023, it is then our calling to actualize its realities”.
He called on the electorates to rally round him to emerge the next Senator to represent the Abia north Senatorial zone to enable him provide the dividends of democracy to their doorsteps.
