Socialite, Akuapem Poloo, maintains that she has not gotten any money from DKB or any other celebrities that have been asking for donations in her name
Akuapem Poloo has announced that no one has given her money out of all who claimed to have collected donations in her name.
It would be recalled that DKB had earlier claimed that Akuapem Poloo had told him to help collect donations on her behalf when he visited her in custody.
The comedian stated that he was instructed to circulate her MoMo to the individuals who wanted to support the embattled actress’ cause.
“Hey everybody, Rosemond is looking good, she is feeling fine,” DKB said in a video posted on his Facebook page.
“When I went to see her; I told her to give me your momo number let me give it to the people and also your bank account for someone to donate more than 1,000 cedis,”
Akuapem Poloo has now said that she is yet to receive a penny from anyone including DKB himself.
She uploaded a video on her Instagram page to clear the air about fans that have been demanding her gratitude for the amount that they’ve contributed to her cause.
Divine Jones’, Akuapem Poloo’s manager had initially warned DKB against unsolicited donations when the comedian began.
He noted that no one from Akuapem Poloo’s camp had given DKB permission to collect donations on her behalf.
“For me I understand how people are sympathizing with her, how everybody is trying to cope, some people are really coping, others are just pretending, others are all hypocrites, but my point is that, I think whatever donation that is going on is wrong.”
“You should be able to consult poloo’s management or you should be able to consult poloo’s legal counsel, you can’t just go out there to start getting donations, for which purpose are you getting the donations? Is it for the child? Is it for the mother?”
It now seems like the comedian had acted on his own accord.
He is yet to reply to the implied accusation.
