The Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC) has called on ace undercover journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, to throw his investigative light into the church to expose corrupt leaders.
According to GPCC, the Christian faith has received condemnation lately because some church leaders and members are deeply involved in corruption and lifestyles that are not worthy of Christ.
The General Secretary of the council, Rev. Emmanuel T. Barrigah says he believes exposing corrupt church leaders will help separate the good from the fake.
Rev. Barrigah said people are suffering in villages due to lack of social amenities, meanwhile some corrupt folks have stolen monies meant for them and are spending lavishly.
He says corruption must be eradicated because it is killing the country.
Meanwhile, the Catholic Bishops Conference said they agree with the call by the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council that the undercover investigative journalist must direct his investigative eyes at the churches in order to expose corrupt church leaders.
The Communication Director for the Catholic Bishops Conference Bishop Deu Donne Kofi said he remembers how Anas exposed the activities of Maranatha Adventist Camp at Mentukwa in the Brong Ahafo Region in 2012.
He has therefore cautioned church leaders to sit up before he enters the church again.
